You know it’s important, but you also know it’s totally overwhelming—and honestly, who has the time to untangle all of that while running a business?
When your books are taken care of, it’s not just about staying organized—it’s about creating more s p a c e .
Space to spend time with your family.
Space to focus on your business goals.
Space to breathe easy, knowing everything’s in good hands.
We’re here to help with that—clear, reliable bookkeeping support that works with your life, not against it.
We're here to make managing your business finances simpler, clearer, and way less stressful.

Our story starts at NC State University, where we met in a genetics lab. Taylor was on the struggle bus with fruit fly experiments, and Jacob? Well, he carried our team with his problem-solving skills and endless patience. Picking him as my lab partner turned out to be the best decision ever—not just for my grade, but for life.
Life hasn’t always been easy, but it’s shaped who we are today. Finishing my accounting and finance degrees during lockdowns with a toddler in tow (and pregnant with our second) was a challenge, but it taught us the value of perseverance and leaning on each other.
That same dedication shows up in the way we run Coyne Bookkeeping. As a husband-and-wife duo, we combine our unique skills to give you a personalized, hands-on approach. I (Taylor) bring my degrees in accounting and finance to handle the day-to-day bookkeeping and be your friendly email contact. I’m here to make your finances feel stress-free, so you can focus on what truly matters in your business.
Jacob, with his expertise as a research scientist, takes on the analytics and account reviews. His attention to detail and thoughtful approach ensure you get a deeper understanding of your financial picture.

Together, we make managing your finances feel doable, even when life gets busy.
When we’re not working, we’re usually chasing after our three little ones (who definitely keep things lively). Whether we’re playing tennis, exploring the outdoors, or working on our own journey toward a more natural lifestyle, family is at the core of everything we do.
We both come from broken families, with childhoods marked by the strain of disconnectedness, and because of this, we understand how much value true relationships hold.
We started Coyne Bookkeeping to combine our skills and values while building a life that prioritizes family and balance.
For us, this business is about more than just a career. It’s about creating something that lets us support small business owners while staying present for our kids.
It hasn’t always been easy, but every step has been worth it.

That’s why we’ve built Coyne Bookkeeping on six core values:
You deserve accurate, timely, and thorough service every time.
When it comes to your business, you can count on us to follow through. Whether it’s keeping your books in order, preparing reports, or answering your questions, we're here to make sure everything is handled with care and precision.
You deserve support that sets you up for success.
Your business matters, and we’re committed to doing the job right. We’ll go the extra mile to ensure you feel confident and well-supported every step of the way.
Transparent communication makes all the difference.
Open, clear conversations are at the heart of what we do. You’ll always know where things stand, so you can make thoughtful decisions for your business without second-guessing.
Your business has a place here.
When we work together, you’ll know you’re valued and supported, knowing your bookkeeping is in good hands.
A positive outlook is baked into every part of our process.
A positive approach changes everything. From our first conversation to the day you see those clear, organized reports in your inbox, you’ll find encouragement and optimism baked into the process
Your time matters — let’s help you reclaim it.
Life is about more than work, and we’re here to help you create space for what matters most. By taking bookkeeping off your plate, you’ll have more time to focus on your family, your passions, and the things you love.
1. Watching The Office… again (it really is the best show)
2. Scrolling through photos of the kids literally taken an hour ago
3. Arguing about whether a word is allowed in Boggle
4. Trying to finish a book I’ve been reading for months (but mostly just getting distracted)
5. Starting a new batch of kombucha and feeding the sourdough starter child
6. Settling the big debates (i.e. who has to get up to turn the lights off) with a game of rock-paper-scissors

Let's make your bookkeeping one less thing to worry about, so you can focus on what matters most—your business, your family, and the life you’ve worked hard to build.
